How it works
The core idea was to surface compatibility signals before two people even match.
- Built a recommendation engine that scores compatibility across more than 50 factors, including values, interests, lifestyle, and personality.
- Built a real-time chemistry score shown before two users even match.
- Added AI-generated icebreakers and an in-app AI chat assistant to help start conversations.
- Built tiered membership plans (Free, Plus, and Elite) with perks like unlimited swipes and advanced filters.
Why I built it
Most dating apps optimize for endless swiping rather than actual compatibility, leaving users to figure out chemistry only after matching and starting a conversation from scratch.
How I approached it
I built a multi-factor compatibility engine that scores users against each other before a match happens, then added AI-generated icebreakers so conversations have somewhere to start instead of an empty chat box.
